In line with Eksportfinans’ guidelines on asset management, investments can be made in paper issued by financial institutions with a 20 percent BIS weighting, government bonds and bonds issued by supranationals within the OECD area. In principal, papers should have a rating of A-/A3 or better.
Only limited foreign exchange risk and interest rate risk is acceptable. All currencies are exchanged for the company's base currencies, presently USD, NOK and EUR. Interest rate risk is managed according to the special guidelines for interest risk management, approved by the Board of Directors.
